For the Love of Japan
Well, Me = Beatrice, did a small little charity work for Japan upon the news of the recent (not VERY recent but still quite recent) Tsunami and Earthquake in Japan. My sister and I sold my artwork in a postcard version for S$5 and all proceeds went to Mercy Relief. We managed to raise $85 bucks so a big THANK YOU to all those who donated.

The design was inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai but instead of the tsunami flooding the country, the waves turned into sakura flowers to bring in spring and hope to the people. Original design was a paper cut and scanned to digitally print as postcards.

Sketch (after a long while)
And it’s time to upload something here as well :)
Haven’t really drawn in a long while so I took out my pencils and pens, flipped to a page of Dazed & Confused and started sketching in office. And because Iain Macarthur’s illustrations have been staring at me everyday in office, decided to take reference from it and kind of draw it in my own way. Feels very rusty drawing and I think it shows but it’s about time to start again. :)
